Sourcing and Packages
Can I choose what goes into my packages?
You pick what size subscription package you’d like and we fill it with what the sustainable food system gives us this week throughout the year.
Which size package is best for me?
Basic produce packages get about 6-9 different kinds of items; Small+, Medium+, and Large+ packages get about 8-16 items including a rotating weekly small-batch item (vegan & gluten-free). The more you cook at home each week, the bigger package you’ll want. Our most popular add-ons include fruit packages, breads, eggs, cheese, meats, and wild seafood.
Can I opt out of certain items?
You can add any items to your allergy list in the sign-up form. If there are any changes to your list after you sign up, email [email protected] and we can help you out. While packing, we will swap out your allergy items for something else that we have on hand that day.
Are the bags vegan?
All of the produce, fruit, juicing and pantry package contents are vegan and gluten free. Produce and pantry packages may contain gluten free grains, beans, seeds or nuts.
What items in the web store are vegan?
We try to note which products are vegan, gluten free, and other designations in our web store to help members find items that work for them. Click the item to learn more about it and the producer.

Receiving Your Orders
I missed my bag, what can I do?
Packages that are not claimed by the end of the pick up or delivery window are considered unclaimed. They are donated to the food pantry a block from our Brooklyn Hub or to one of our community partners or are distributed to the many volunteers who make our operation happen everyday. Our priority in these situations is to prevent the food from being wasted.
What is this item? How do I cook it?
If you have any questions about what an item is, e-mail us at [email protected], tweet us or Facebook us. When possible, include a picture.

I’m a local business. How do I get involved?
You can get involved in these three ways:
- You can host our once-a-week package pick ups. We’ll provide the volunteer and handle all delivery operations.
- If you’re a local food business and meet our sourcing guidelines, you can have your products featured in our webstore and in our packages.
- You can co-host Nextdoorganics readings, potlucks, classes and other events.
If you’re interested and in the New York City area, e-mail us at [email protected].
Can my office sign up to get snack packages or become a pick-up location?
Absolutely. We’ll deliver snack and produce packages right to your office. E-mail us at [email protected] if you’re interested.
